المحاضرة رقم 5 : زمن الماضى البسيط (Past Simple tense) (Simple Past Tense)

زمن الماضى البسيط (Past Simple tense) أو (Simple Past Tense) :
يتكون من الـ : 
Subject + Verb + ed

الاستخدامات :
1- احداث تمت وانتهت فى الماضى (فى زمن محدد من الماضى) :

1- I ate my lunch yesterday.

2- I went to school yesterday. 

2- احداث متكررة فى الماضى :

1- When I was a boy I walked a mile to school every day.

2- We swam a lot while we were on holiday.

3- حقائق عامة من الماضى :

1- I lived abroad for ten years.

2- She played a lot of tennis when she was younger.

4- الاحداث الرئيسية فى القصة : 
5- للتعبير عن فترة واحدة مع التعبير عن الوقت :

1- He had a laptop for 5 years.

2- My father talked on the phone for 5 minutes.

6- عادة في الماضي إذا كان يستخدم ظرف يدل على التكرار :

1- I always did my homework on time when I was a student. 

2- My father often read me tales before I went to bed.

من الاظرف التى تدل على التكرار (frequency) :
Always – Annually – Constantly – Daily ….
7- الأحداث التي حدثت مرة واحدة :

1- she phoned my brother.

2-He fell off his bike. 

8- يستخدم ايضاً مع زمن الماضى المستمر اذا اتى حدث يقطع حدث كان يحدث فى الماضى :

1- They were playing cards, when the telephone rang.

2- While Ahmed was reading outside, it started to rain.

كلمات تستخدم مع زمن الماضى البسيط :
YESTERDAY, the other day
LAST week, month, year, when
JUST NOW , AGO, IN …
The day before yesterday

السؤال باستخدام الماضى البسيط :
Did + Subject + Verb in main form

السؤال القصير : 

1- Did you take it ?

2- Did you watch that film yesterday ?

السؤال الطويل : Wh-Questions

1- Where did you go for your holidays ?

2- Did you add flour, pour in the milk, and then add the eggs ?

السؤال المنفى : 

1-Why did not you tell me about the accident ?

النفى باستخدام الماضى البسيط : 

1- They did not go to Spain this year

2- I did not see you yesterday.
